How Atlas pays for itself
Billing & plan FAQ
Is there really a free trial?
Yes. All paid plans include a 14-day free trial with full access to the plan's features. No credit card required to start. Your trial converts to a paid subscription automatically at day 15 — we'll email you a reminder at day 12.
How many team members can access Atlas?
Each plan includes admin seats for your team: Seed includes 2, Series A includes 5, and Growth includes 10. Additional admin seats can be added at $49/seat/mo (Seed/Series A) or $79/seat/mo (Growth). Investor and board member view access is always free and unlimited — we never charge for the people you're sharing updates with.
What's included in the Institutional plan?
Institutional is custom-scoped for companies managing complex fundraising across multiple rounds, entities, or fund relationships. It includes unlimited admin seats, LP reporting, cross-fund rollup, dedicated CSM, and the ability to connect to your internal or homegrown systems. Contact our team for a scoping conversation.
Can I switch plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrade anytime and the new plan takes effect immediately. Downgrade takes effect at the next billing cycle. Annual plans are non-refundable — the annual discount reflects the commitment.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You have 30 days after cancellation to export all your data (data room, investor contacts, update history). We don't delete your data for 90 days after cancellation.
How does the AI update generation actually work?
Connect your Stripe and/or QuickBooks accounts. Atlas pulls your key metrics (MRR, ARR, burn, runway, growth rate) automatically each month and drafts an investor update narrative. You review, edit if needed, then approve and send. Most founders spend under 10 minutes per update.
Is my financial data secure?
Atlas uses read-only OAuth connections to Stripe and QuickBooks. We never store raw transaction data — only aggregated metrics. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3).
What's the difference between Atlas and Carta?
Carta manages your cap table and equity. Atlas manages your fundraising process and investor relations. They're complementary — Atlas has a native Carta integration so you can pull cap table data into your readiness score and data room.
What counts as an 'investor update'?
An investor update is a monthly narrative summary sent to your investor list. It includes AI-drafted commentary on your metrics, milestones, asks, and context. You can send as many manual updates as you want; the AI-drafted template is generated once per month per connected data source.
